Gratitude .....

Today, I would like to pay special tribute to all the volunteers in C.A.T Teams in Zimbabwe who support Community Action Trust and Cherished Child. Who go the extra mile, packing and delivering groceries and medication to our beneficiaries, often with little in their own "tanks". You are the backbone of this charity; without you, there would be no us.
Volunteering is often thankless work. Many with all the good will in the world and generous hearts question their decisions, and even more jump out of committees soon after jumping in. For no other reason than finding out how little time they actually do have to do volunteer service. The hustle, the grind ever apparent !
We are fortunate to have team members who respond to the calling, offering their time ,homes for grocery deliveries, jumping into their cars to complete the deliveries without asking for compensation or fuel reimbursement unless things are really tight ( which they truly are in Zimbabwe at the moment ) , filling in forms and carrying out due diligence . They also check in on the elderly just to see how they are doing, as loneliness can be a very sad experience.
To these wonderful warriors . We say THANK YOU . (Pic volunteer Lorna Beru in C.A.T Mutare )
